CC Break Monitor — Privacy Policy

Overview

CC Break Monitor is a browser extension that tracks agent status changes on the Amazon Web Services Command Center support platform. This policy explains what data the extension collects, how it is stored, and how it is used.

  Summary: All data is stored locally in your browser by default.
  No data is collected, transmitted, or shared unless you explicitly enable the
  optional cross-device sync feature.

Data Collected

Data NOT Collected

Data Storage

All data is stored locally in your browser using the browser's built-in extension storage API (chrome.storage.local or browser.storage.local). Data persists until you:

Uninstall the extension
Clear the extension's storage manually
Clear all browser data

Optional Cross-Device Sync

The extension includes an optional sync feature that is disabled by default. If you choose to enable it:

Your status data (status names, timestamps, daily totals) is sent to an API endpoint that you configure in the extension settings
Data is stored in an AWS DynamoDB table managed by your team
Data is identified by your Amazon alias, which you provide manually
Synced data automatically expires after 90 days
You can disable sync at any time in the extension settings
The sync backend is self-hosted — no third-party services are involved

Data Sharing

This extension does not share, sell, or transfer any data to third parties. No data is sent to any external service, advertising network, analytics platform, or data broker.

Network Requests

The extension makes network requests only in these cases:

Status detection: The extension monitors (but does not modify) API requests made by the Command Center page to internal AWS endpoints. No additional network requests are made for this purpose.
Sync (if enabled): PUT and GET requests to the user-configured sync API endpoint to push and pull status data.

Data Export and Deletion

Export: You can download your data at any time using the "Download Today's Report" (CSV) or "Download Full Backup" (JSON) buttons
Delete: Uninstalling the extension removes all locally stored data. To delete synced data, contact your team's sync backend administrator

Children's Privacy

This extension is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data from children.

Changes to This Policy

This privacy policy may be updated from time to time. Changes will be reflected in the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
